P600 Passive Speaker Design Concept + Q&A
The P600 was born from the overall design philosophy of the AIYIMA D20, T20, and A20 HiFi system.
Our goal was to create a loudspeaker that is balanced, enjoyable to listen to, easy to drive, and highly matched.
Together with the system, it forms a coherent HiFi ecosystem that delivers a purer sonic experience for audiophiles.
Q: Why is the front panel designed with a -6° tilt?
This is the result of acoustic optimization, with two main purposes:
Time & phase alignment – Ensures tweeter and woofer sound waves reach the listener’s ears simultaneously.
Soundstage focus – The tilt projects sound energy more precisely into the optimal listening zone.
Q: What difference does this tilt make in listening experience?
Users can clearly perceive:
Improved imaging: Vocals and instruments are positioned more accurately.
Wider soundstage: Horizontal width increases by about 15% on average.
Greater tolerance: Even when deviating ±30° from the sweet spot, sound quality remains excellent.
Q: How does the horn tweeter design affect acoustics?
The P600 uses a signature 110°×110° exponential horn, made with one-piece injection molding.
Its curved transitions are acoustically optimized, controlling high-frequency dispersion to 90° horizontally and 45° vertically.
The front metal dust cover is laser-perforated, with hole density precisely calculated.
It protects the neodymium diaphragm while keeping attenuation above 20kHz within 0.5dB.
This ensures complete preservation of high-frequency details.
Q: What benefits does the solid metal phase plug bring to sound quality?
The phase plug is CNC-machined from solid aluminum alloy, with high rigidity to suppress breakup vibrations.
Its spiral surface disperses standing waves, making mid-bass transitions smoother and more natural. Aluminum’s excellent thermal conductivity also enables rapid heat dissipation.
This keeps the voice coil stable and reliable even under high-power operation.
